  • 50hr RBT training certificate

Prerequisites

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Interest in working with special needs children

  • Ability to pass background check

  • RBT in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • School aide or paraprofessional
  • Salary ranges from $15 – $25 per hour

Training Schedule

Certification Process

prerequisites for obtaining the RBT certification are:

  • Age Requirement: must be over 18 years of age

  • Educational Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (via transcript)

  • Criminal Background Check:

    • Must be conducted within 45 days of completing the 5-week training program
    • Fingerprint background check is required (procedure will be provided)
    • Cost: $19.95 (student’s responsibility; non-reimbursable)
  • 5-Week Training:

    • Training must meet the RBT Task List 2.0 requirements
    • Provided by Continuum Behavioral Health
  • Competency Assessment:

    • Two-part competency assessment conducted by Continuum Behavioral Health.
  • RBT Exam:

    • Must be taken at one of 400+ Pearson VUE Testing Centers
    • RBT Application Fee: $50.00 (retain receipt for reimbursement)
    • Testing Fee: $45.00 (refundable upon providing test results)
    • T.Byrd Center will reimburse the testing fee once, even if you fail. Additional attempts are the student’s responsibility

The RBT training program is FREE to those who qualify for a grant, however, you will be responsible for the cost of the background check
